Sheds in Footdee

Today I blew of work and had an actual lovely and chilled out day. Old friends unexpectedly in Aberdeen, sun, and warmth from the sun, takeaways at the beach, and general beachly awandering. After all this we walked through the fishing village houses at Footdee (or Fittee) which is what the picture of. Some of the houses are run down and some are well kept, one is an art studio. But there is a sense of community when you walk through them.

  1. I missed this characterful shed. Please come and take a photo of our beach chalet garden shed.

This area sounds like the Dungeness community – speaking of which Derek Jarmans last words (almost) from the soundtrack of Blue:
    In time,
No one will remember our work
Our life will pass like the traces of a cloud
    And be scattered like
Mist that is chased by the
    Rays of the sun
For our time is the passing of a shadow
And our lives will run like
    Sparks through the stubble

    Seemed appropriate.
