Behind the scenes at the museum II

Didn’t have much chance for snapping on my recent visit to the US. I did have the opportunity to go on a behind the scenes tour at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History at their collections centre to view some of their Native American holdings. These are Chippewa maple syrup holders made from duck bills. These would have been given to children, the forerunners of lollipops essentially.
